Peterbilt 389 Semi-Truck

Here's something different, a semi-truck, specifically, the Peterbilt 389. Now I won't act as if I know alot about semi-trucks as I'm not that into trucks (yet), so there isn't really much I can say about it from a technical standpoint. But what I can say though is that it's a pretty iconic vehicle, have you seen Transformers? Now aside that, this thing is powerful as hell, being able to pull up to 80000 pounds of weight (32000+kg) and is essential for transporting large quantities of stuff from one place to another efficiently. And now you get to experience going through long journeys across the country, in Minecraft!

• About Project

This project was originally made and intended to be a car-hauler addon. Basically a semi-truck and a trailer that can be used to transport my previous car projects and even other cars that other creators have made. Unfortunately, due to there being just too many problems regarding how the trailer connects to the truck, this project had to be cancelled. It either looked wack when moving or just wouldn't follow.

By the time I realized the problem, I had already modelled the semi-truck and it would've been a shame to not release it as it actually turned out way better than I'd expected.

To replace the trailer part, I made it possible for you to add a container to the truck. More on that below.

• Truck details

Has low-mid speed2 seatsadvanced animations (explained below) and advanced sounds (also explained below).

• Truck variants & colors

Has 2 variants and a total of 4 colors.

1) Without container

Yellow

Red

Silver

Black

2) With container

(All the colors mentioned above can be attached with a container)
Example:

Rear profile

• How to open the doors

To OPEN the doorsright click the truck and the doors will openRight click again to get in.
To CLOSE the doorsright click WHILE shifting/crouching.

• How to add a container

To ADD a containeryou will need an iron blockRight click the truck with the iron block and the container will be added! (Yes logic 100)

To REMOVE the containerright click WHILE shifting/crouching. An iron block will be dropped.

Once the container is added, right click the truck and the doors will open (follow the instructions in "How to open the doors").

• How to colour the trucks

Aside getting the different colours of the trucks from their specific spawn eggs, you can also colour them from one colour to anotherExample: yellow to red, silver to black, etc.

You can colour them by right clicking the trucks while holding/using the Minecraft dyes:

Red dye
Yellow dye
Black dye
Light Gray dye (Silver)

I've made a video showing how it's done (open/close doors) so if you don't understand words, you can check that video out. The car used in the vid is the Integra DC2 I made a while back, but that shouldn't be a problem as the concept of opening and closing the doors is the same as this truck (Peterbilt 389)

• Advanced sounds

In total there are 5 sound effects for the trucks. The list are as follows:

Startup + horn sound effect - When the player first sits in the truck
Driving sound effect - When the player drives the truck
Custom hit sound effect - When the truck takes damage
Door closing sound effect - When the player closes the door
Door opening sound effect - When the player opens the door

For this addon (and possibly future cars), the Holiday Creator Features (Experimental Mode) is NOT REQUIRED.

• How to obtain

Method 1: Get their spawn eggs from the Creative Inventory. They are classified as spawn eggs. You can search "Peterbilt" without the " for a more convenient way of getting them.

Method 2: Use /summon commands:
/summon peterbilt389:yellow1
/summon peterbilt389:red1
/summon peterbilt389:black1
/summon peterbilt389:silver1
