'87 Toyota Hilux N50

Reliable. Rugged. Powerful. Simplistic. This are the main adjectives that define the Hilux N50 - the pickup truck that's so reliable that some dub it the "AK-47 of pickups". Whether you just simply need a handy utility vehicle that is economical and reliable, or need to ship goods from point A to B with ease, the Hilux N50 is the pickup truck for you. Aside it’s versatility and reliability, its tough and rugged, capable of enduring more harsher environments. With all that said, this is everything you could possibly want in a pickup truck.

• History

“In late 1986 for the 1987 model year, the truck went through a minor interior and exterior redesign, that included a new grille, a new 1 piece front bumper, an updated interior with full high door panels with faux leather stitching on the base and DLX models, the gauge cluster surround was more rounded and featured faux leather stitching on it, the dash pad featured a shorter tray than earlier models, the steering wheels were changed from black to gray, red, brown, or blue depending on the interior color, the radio bezel was also color matched to the rest of the interior, the SR-5 tach gauge clusters had the pattern on the face changed from a grid pattern to horizontal lines, the outside door mirrors were also changed to have a more stream lined appearance, the faceplate for the heater controls was also redesigned. A V6 engine was introduced in 1988. The Hilux-based 4Runner which made its entry in Australia, North America and the United Kingdom was based on this generation of the Hilux; in some other markets, such as Japan, it was called the Hilux Surf.” - Wikipedia

• How to open the doors & How to open the hood/Lorry doors

i) Doors

To OPEN the doors, right click the car and the doors will open. Right click again to get in.
To CLOSE the doors, right click WHILE shifting/crouching.

ii) Hood/Lorry Doors

To OPEN the hood, right click WHILE shifting/crouching WHEN the doors are closed and the hood will open!
To CLOSE the hood, right click WHILE shifting/crouching.

In a nutshell, the concept is basically;

Right click/hold + Shift/crouch = Close/open the hood and close doors
Right click ONLY = Open doors and to get in car ... (once the car's doors are open)

I've made a video showing how it's done so if you don't understand words, you can check that video out. The car in the video used is my previous Datsun 240z addon which shouldn't be a problem as the concept (animations, door and hood mechanics and sound effects) are the same for this addon (Hilux N50).

• Regarding Mobile Revised

Starting with my ‘77 Pontiac Firebird addon, Mobile Revised versions will not have the ability to open the hood. Door Mechanism 2.0 will still be implemented for Mobile Revised versions meaning you can still open and close the doors. This is to help optimize gameplay for Mobile users.

TL;DR: Mobile Revised versions do not have the ability to open/close the hood, but you can still open/close the doors.

 

• Advanced sounds

In total there are 6 sound effects for the cars. The list are as follows:

Startup sound effect - When the player sits in the car
Driving sound effect - When the player drives the car
Custom car damage sound - When the car is damaged / takes a hit 
Door closing sound effect - When the player closes the door
Door opening sound effect - When the player opens the door
Hood closing sound effect - When the player closes the hood

This addon DOES NOT REQUIRE (any type of..) EXPERIMENTAL MODE.

• How to obtain

Method 1: Get their spawn eggs from the Creative Inventory. They are classified as spawn eggs. You can search "Hilux" or  “N50”  without the " for a more convenient way of getting them.
